London Calling: BBC Mis-Reporting Scotland

Here's what they said in 2014. "We are not in an official referendum campaign and therefore do not have to balance it out between yes and no." Surprised?

Come to this free screening and make up your own mind.

Yes Events Skye offers a chance to see Alan Knight's documentary, London Calling: BBC bias during the 2014 Scottish Independence referendum.

The film is based on the book by GA Ponsonby, which was described by writer and broadcaster, Derek Bateman, as <strong>&ldquo;a searing scrutiny of the BBC&rsquo;s role in the referendum &ndash; forensic, unforgiving and uncomfortable commentary on an institution that let the nation down.

Two organisations emerged losers after the 2014 independence referendum. Yes Scotland won praise after narrowly failing to overturn a thirty point deficit. The other loser was the BBC.

The British State broadcaster sacrificed its reputation in return for a narrow win for the No campaign. London Calling captures the descent of the BBC during Scotland's historic referendum period. two years of spin, deceit, manipulation and corruption has been packaged into a powerful seventy minute documentary.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Craig Murray, former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan and past rector of Dundee University.
